RECAP: CV Pride 2014

It was a wash outside for much of the time, but CV Pride, taking place on 13 September, still got underway in the cabin at Flat Rock Park, with stalls from Refuge Church, Georgia Benefits Council, St. Thomas Episcopal, Georgia Equality and local businesses. Eventually the rain subsided and performers, including belly dancers and drag queens like Cherry Poppins and Candy O’Hara, flexed their Disney-style creativity in pursuit of this year’s theme: “The Wonderful World of Diversity”.

Food, including chili dogs, chips, soda and candy, was also available, with proceeds going to the CV Pride Center, the recently-established LGBT community center on 13th Street.
